The innovative SnoofyBee Clean Hands Changing Pad is now an integral part of our our diaper changing routine. Instead of wrestling with kids to keep their hands from wandering, the Clean Hands Changing Pad quickly creates a comfortable barrier to ensure hands stay clean. It makes diaper changes hassle-free!
The great folks at SnoofyBee.com recently sent me a sneak peek of their revolutionary change pad which is currently being developed through their Kickstarter campaign. I tested the change pad on my energetic (almost) 2 year-old son, who is very active during changes and likes to make sure his man bits are intact immediately after taking off his diaper. I quickly learned that this wonderful curiosity can be problematic, especially with those ‘messy’ diapers. The SnoofyBee Clean Hands Changing Pad ensure no hands wander South until mom or dad clean things up.
The barrier is very easy to use, just raise the two flaps around your child’s torso, attach together using velco and ta-da, your done. This shield creates a comfortable barrier between the baby’s hands and lower body. The barrier is secure, my boy has not unlatched it or reached over it. The changing pad surface has a PVC-free polyurethane coating, making the pad simple to clean, and also has a layer of foam inside, which keeps the baby comfortable on any surface.
While using the SnoofyBee, your child will still have range of their hands and arms. They can wave their arms around or easily play with a toy during a diaper change, and you don’t have to worry about their toys or hands getting dirty.
It is very portable and folds up neatly, turning into a handy pouch which holds everything you need for a diaper change (diapers, wipes, and even a change of clothes). We find it especially handy on road trips, when diaper changes are sometimes done in the car or in locations with tight spaces.
The Clean Hands Changing Pad was developed by a fellow dad, Mike Perry, after struggling during diaper changes with his own children. “This product addresses time old challenges and frustrations common to many parents combined with the newer demands many families have of regularly being on the go,” said Perry. “It helps reduce clutter, improves hygiene, reduces the spread of germs, and eliminates mess.”
The SnoofyBee changing pad has a Kickstarter page which ends on Sept. 6, 2015. Backer rewards range from $5 to $250. Backers who pledge at the $26 level will receive one changing pad. For larger families that require multiple pads, the project offers early bird specials for multiple changing pads, from two changing pads for $42, up to ten changing pads for $210.
In all, we are very satisfied with the SnoofyBee Clean Hands Changing Pad. It’s purpose is to keep your kids hands clean and it does exactly that.
